New Horizon Zero Dawn comic series will release later this year
Aloy ahoy.
Titan Comics has confirmed it's launching a new comic series based upon Horizon Zero Dawn.
As spotted by our friends at VGC, the comic book series has been co-created by Anne Toole - who is one of the game's original writers - with artwork from Ann Maulina. The story will take us beyond the events of the game.
"Talanah, a strong and determined hunter, struggles to find purpose after her trusted friend Aloy disappears," Titan explains. "When a mysterious threat emerges in the wilds, she sets out to hunt and to defeat it, only to learn that a whole new breed of killer machines stalk the land!"
The first issue is scheduled to launch on 22nd July, 2020, for $4 (UK pricing not yet confirmed), but if that seems too far away, there's also a one-off prequel confirmed, too - that'll release on Free Comic Book Day 2020, which is 2nd May, 2020.
Just in case you missed it, the PlayStation 4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn is coming to PC later this year. The Steam page for the Complete Edition of the game is live now. While the precise date is yet to be established, PlayStation Worldwide Studios boss Hermen Hulst has confirmed the studio is looking at a "summer" (or Q3, if you're in the southern hemisphere) release.
