New PAL Releases Roundup
Cricket! Peace Walker! Mario Tennis!
This week may be all about E3, but don't go thinking it's all about E3 - even though it is - because it's also about some games being sold in shops and that. The ones below most specifically.
This week's biggest release is undoubtedly the excellent Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on PSP, recipient of a healthy 8/10 review last week and one of the richest, deepest and most ambitious releases for Sony's handheld in perhaps its whole history.
Indeed, it's such a big deal that Hideo Kojima is cutting short his time at E3 this week (side note: E3's on this week) to visit places like HMV in Oxford Street to sign autographs and promote the game.
Otherwise it's quite a barren week as you might expect, unless you've been counting the days to the likes of Bus Simulator 2 and Rig 'n' Roll on the PC. International Cricket 2010 is also out this week.
Also, Nintendo's website indicates that Virtual Console's roster of N64 titles grows by one, and that that one is Mario Tennis. We can't really remember if Mario Tennis was any good on the N64, but it's bound to be more predictable and flashier than the Jabulani ball, so you could do worse. Expect anyone remotely connected with these shores to demonstrate how at Wimbledon very soon.
