Forget about sprinklers and bigots, everyone! This week we've got games to play. Yes, the games industry has woken up and realised it needs to ram out some games in the next few weeks before the World Cup takes over, so things are heating up.

Speaking of the World Cup, we realise football isn't to everyone's taste - or, to be more specific, some people get very arsey whenever we discuss football (bigots!) - but it's worth reiterating that EA's new World Cup game is out today and very good, even though it's one of those stopgap releases that automatically gets marked down most years. The new penalties system is particularly interesting - as Clive Tyldesley explains on EG Videos.

Less divisive, we suspect, will be the utterly magnificent Super Street Fighter IV, featuring refined versions of SFIV's characters, new ones, new modes and all sorts of other bells and whistles. We've got Bison vs. Akuma and Makoto vs. Dan bouts on Eurogamer's new Videos channel, by the way, with more going up later today.

Don't worry, we'll stop hawking the new Videos channel now. For a bit anyway. Other exciting prospects this week include the PC version of Splinter Cell: Conviction and the wonderful God of War Collection, which unites the first two PS2 God of War games in a delightful high-def remastering for PS3.

Then there's WarioWare: Do It Yourself, in which players build their own microgames and other Nintendo-y craft. If you're too thick for LittleBigPlanet but fancy yourself a designer, look no further.

Finally, yes, Iron Man 2 is out tomorrow as well, but we only got code last night and the embargo's suspiciously afternoony on the day of release, so approach with caution.
