New PAL Releases Roundup
Force Unleashed, WAR, PlayTV.
George Lucas and his hair have made another Star Wars game, and this one has been fed on steroids. So we're excited, sitting here in our emo cape, because these Force powers are so ludicrous that even spaceships are not safe. Plus there's a story, one that bridges the gap between films three (Revenge of the Sith) and four (A New Hope). But best not get too excited, because Johnny Minkley only gave the game 7/10.
Excitement, of course, will be pumping through the clogged veins of rat-punchers around the world as the Warhammer Online servers open their doors today. Order or Destruction? Girly or Manly? But remember: there are hidden bonuses to joining an underpopulated side, such as shorter queues for organised fights with the other side. Be sure to visit Eurogamer MMO for our Warhammer Online review, guide, and interviews with the top earners at Mythic.
Multiwinia, the multiplayer take on Darwinia, launches today, as does Crysis standalone expansion Crysis Warhead, which was heavily acclaimed by us. The PC crowd also receives the Enhanced Edition of The Witcher. This tidies up endless areas and makes this an RPG with a weighty recommendation, not least because of the extras in the fancy box.
Other newcomers of note are PS3 peripheral PlayTV, which lets you watch and record telly on your console. Our Tom says: 8/10.
Yakuza 2 finally makes its European debut (our review will be with you soon), and Warriors Orochi 2 pops up on Xbox 360 and PS2.
