New Tron game on the way, says Variety
To tie-in with the 2011 film sequel.
Disney Interactive is planning to release a new Tron game, according to Variety.
It'll tie-in with movie sequel TR2N, which is set to star Jeff Bridges, Garret Hedlund and Olivia Wilde. Both the game and the film are down for release in 2011.
The original Tron movie, for those too young or thick to recall, was released in 1982. It followed the adventures of Jeff Bridges after he became trapped inside a computer, and was all about hacking and lasers and light-cycles.
The arcade tie-in was hugely popular, and even made more money than the movie. In 2003, a game called Tron 2.0 was released for PC, and we really liked it. But then in 2003 we also liked Starsailor and thought velour tracksuits were the height of sophistication.
