Dead painter gets new game
On DS and Revolution.
Bob Ross may not be familiar to readers in the UK, unless you're a particular fan of the Discovery channel, but over in the States the man's something of a legend.
For more than ten years, Ross entertained art fans with his public television show, The Joy of Painting. With his crazy painting techniques, his obsession with "happy little clouds" and his stupid white man's afro, Ross found a huge following. Sadly, he passed away in 1995.
But Ross lives on through licensed art supplies, and now through the magic of videogames. Bob Ross Inc. is currently seeking a publisher for a new PC, Nintendo DS and Revolution title.
It's not clear exactly how the game will work - but the DS's touch screen is obviously suited to arty type stuff, and the crazy new Revolution controller will be, too. More details should emerge at E3, with a bit of luck.
