Who won our Xbox and Island Thunder?
One of the biggest responses we've had...
It was a difficult question, but many hundreds of you apparently had no difficulty cutting through the bullshit and identifying Splinter Shield Recon as the fictional Tom Clancy game. I mean, fictional as in "fake", as on some level all the Tom Clancy games are presumably fictional. Apart from that one about the plane crashing into Congress - that one was quite close to the bone.
Anyway, the person who was right and had his name on the first bit of digital paper out of our ethereal hat was none other than Andrew Keagle. Congratulations to Andrew, who has been informed by email. His postman will be staggering out sometime next week with an Xbox and a copy of Ghost Recon: Island Thunder on top - plus of course two months' Xbox Live subscription, although as that's a little cardboard voucher thing it's unlikely to trouble the postman compared to the other spoils...
Finally, we'd just like to thank Ubisoft for putting up the prizes, and shamelessly encourage you all to go and buy Ghost Recon: Island Thunder, which is a quite reasonably priced standalone Xbox title supporting multiplayer over Live. Maybe it's not as brilliant as Ubi's most recent Clancy release Rainbow Six III, but it's certainly a cheap and cheerful alternative, and you'll probably be happy with both of them.
Stay tuned for more competitions in the coming weeks.
