Electronic Arts' E3 line-up
Army of Two, Spore top the bill.
Electronic Arts has announced its E3 line-up - and while, yes, there are plenty of sequels to be seen, you can also expect a bit of brand new IP action.
Topping the bill is Army of Two, the publisher's previously announced tactical co-op effort.
Then there's Spore, the latest project from Sims creator Will Wright. It's only been confirmed for the PC so far, but there are rumours that it'll also appear on Xbox 360 and possibly even handhelds too.
PC gamers can look forward to finding out more about Battlefield 2142 and Crysis, the new FPS from Far Cry developer Crytek. We've already had the chance to take a peek at both titles, so expect full previews later in the week.
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars will also be on show, along with the Xbox 360 version of Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II, and PSP exclusives Def Jam Fight for NY: The Takeover and Nascar '07.
For American sports fans there's Madden NFL '07 - playable demos of both the Wii and PS3 versions will be on the show floor. Then there's NBA Live '07 (PS3, Xbox 360), and NCAA Football '07 (PS2, PSP, Xbox, Xbox 360).
And finally, EA will be showing off Superman Returns, the movie tie-in that's currently in development for PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360 and all handhelds. Except the Gizmondo, obv.
That's all that's been announced so far, but it's highly likely that EA still has a few suprises in store for when E3 gets properly underway...
