GOA gets Warhammer MMO
Mythic's title gets Euro publisher.
GOA, the videogames publishing division of France Telecom, has secured the exclusive European publishing and online operational rights for Mythic Entertainment's Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.
Based on Games Workshop's acclaimed Warhammer fantasy table top games, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) promises a next-gen Massively Multiplayer Online experience featuring immense Realm versus Realm, Player versus Player and Player versus Environment battles.
The PC title is due to launch simultaneously in the US and Europe during the final quarter of 2007, and GOA will manage the exclusive publishing and constant online operation of the game throughout Europe under the terms of the agreement.
GOA partnered with Mythic Entertainment for the publishing and online operation of the award-winning Dark Age of Camelot, forging a relationship which has spanned more than five years to date and which both companies are keen to extend and expand upon through the publishing of WAR.
Ghislaine Le Rhun, GOA Senior Vice President, commented: "We are thrilled to be partners with Mythic again and build on the relationship and experience that we've been enjoying with their team."
"The initial partnership between Mythic and GOA resulted in Dark Age of Camelot being the number one MMORPG in Europe for many years," added Mark Jacobs, President and CEO of Mythic Entertainment, "With WAR our goal is nothing less than to take Europe by storm and regain that leadership position in the European market."
