EGTV: Video round-up
Quite a lot of girls, oddly.
With Sony doing its level best to upset European gamers with this week's embarrassing delay of PlayStation 3, the road ahead is cleared for Microsoft and Nintendo to clean up at the cash registers this Christmas with their respective next-gen offerings.
Microsoft has most reason for indulging in a little early festive cheer, of course, its main adversary on the continent left frantically having to scrabble together a holiday campaign now focusing on PSP and PS2.
Had Eurogamer TV caught up with him this week, Xbox Europe boss Chris Lewis might have been tempted to perform a cartwheel for the cameras; dance a little jig at the very least. But speaking to us back at the recent Leipzig Games Convention, before the PS3 delay was announced, Lewis was bullish and confident on 360's prospects and a broad range of other topics, which you can see for yourselves in parts one and two of our exclusive video interview.
And Lewis should count himself lucky our distressingly horny cameraman James managed to prize his seedy lens away from the hotpanted honeys long enough to film the interview. The rest of us can merely raise a celebratory glass to one man, risking life, limb and a place on the sex offenders' register, to bring you the very best booth babes of the show. God help him if he ever met any of the cast of the Dead Or Alive movie. God certainly won't be enough to help them. Even Jaime Pressly, who is the latest starlet to go under the spotlight in this trailer for the film.
Moving on to more serious gaming matters, the buzz around Valve's hugely anticipated Half-Life Episode 2 continues to grow with the release of not one, not two, but three tasty new teasers.
PSP owners, let's be honest, haven't had a great deal to shout about on the software front of late. So the impending arrival of Rockstar's GTA Vice City Stories can surely not come soon enough for those clamouring for a suitably meaty experience to sate their hunger on their portable PlayStation. Yes, we've seen it all before; but nobody does it better.
Rockstar's other big title on the horizon, the rather awkwardly renamed Canis Canem Edit (née Bully) has impressed the critics so far and might just impress you in this brand new clip.
And, whether Euro PS3 fans see it as light relief after a week of bitter disappointment, or a cruel tease at a time of intense emotional weariness, Capcom's Devil May Cry 4 is on display in a new pre-rendered video this week.
Besides, it's not just Sony's next-gen console that's slip-slidin' away into 2007. Xbox 360 racer Forza 2 also appears to be heading delay-wards – but there's a new video showing off the game's physics to peruse in the meantime.
