Gizmondo first party line-up unveiled
Featuring lots of licensed efforts based on Warthog titles, and a few quirky-sounding original titles. It's actually quite an interesting mix, to be honest.
Tiger Telematics' Gizmondo handheld may not have Halo to look forward to, despite rumours circulating the Las Vegas CES event last week, but a number of licensed and original products developed by internal group Gizmondo Studios are well on the way according to the company.
Among them are rock-and-roll oddity Johnny Whatever (choice quote: "The Iron Royals have enslaved the populous, Rock-N-Roll has been outlawed, and the Queen has been imprisoned in a vat of mustard while squads of Robo-Bobbies terrorise the populace."), Sticky Balls (a Puzzle Bobble-y sounding effort) and Fallen Kingdoms (adventuring around places with names like "Aegion") - all properties licensed from UK-based Warthog - and the previously announced SCI license Richard Burns Rally.
Other titles include Momma, Can I Mow The Lawn? ("the world's first sit-on lawn mower driving adventure game"), Milo And The Rainbow Nasties (a third-person action-adventure set in a world drained of colour, one of the goals of which is to respray the land with help from hero Milo's best friend Chamille the colour-shooting chameleon), and Furious Phil (a third-person "Splatter-Horror Fighting Action Adventure game" structured like a road movie on a mutant-infested Route 66).
There's also a place on the line-up for Future Tactics, based on now-sadly-defunct developer Zed Two's console/PC turn-based strategy affair (and another Warthog license), which, despite some flaws, was distinctly underrated as things went.
There's no word on precisely when these games will arrive, but Gizmondo followers might want to keep an eye on the official website for screenshots and updates.
