More Fullmetal Alchemist

They've had to come up with a new story, but the next FMA title is still only a few months away from release in Japan.

In news that is sure to excite Rob, Square Enix has revealed through the pages of Japanese Famitsu magazine that it's working on another Fullmetal Alchemist game, set for release this summer in the Far East.

It's called Fullmetal Alchemist 3: The Girl That Succeeds God according to a rough translation, and will feature a new storyline that didn't feature in the original manga series that gave birth to the games.

You play as Alphonse and Edward Elric, freely switching between the two (with a split-screen co-op mode included), and it's all set in a place called Valdora, home to a legend about a witch, and features cel-shaded visuals.

Of course it's only on the PS2. And the next time you see it it'll probably be at the top of our Japan charts listing in the weekly digest.
