Crystal Xbox to launch on March 19th

Microsoft has announced a firm release date for the Limited Edition Crystal Xbox, which was announced earlier this year. As predicted, the console will launch next Friday on March 19th - a few days after the second anniversary of its European launch on March 14th, which rather unhelpfully falls on a Sunday this year.

The "crystal clear" Xbox package will feature the console you see just to the left and two crystal controllers, and should retail for £139 or €199 outside the UK. It certainly looks bloody lovely [if you say so -Ed], but you may have to rely on other outlets if you want to read first-hand opinions, as we somehow doubt Microsoft UK is in a position to give us one for free.
