GMX Media will distribute two of publisher Buka Entertainment's latest PC titles in the UK in 2004, with games like Fair Strike, Echelon: Wind Warriors and Steamland already on store shelves thanks to a deal with Oxygen Interactive.

The two new GMX titles are The Entente: World War I Battlefields, a real-time strategy game in which players get to command the French, German, Russian, Austria-Hungarian or British campaigns across a number of accurately recreated battlefields, and Battle Mages, billed as a role-playing strategy title.

GMX COO Barry Leonard has high hopes for both. "We expect 2004 to be a great year for GMX as we continue to sign bigger titles," he said in a statement. Exhibiting an interesting level of optimism, he added: "The Entente promises to be a blockbuster. We have absolutely no doubt that this will be one of the best-selling PC titles in 2004, we are very excited about it."
