Sly 2 gets winter Euro date
While it'll be out in the States this September. Hrm.
SCEE has confirmed what we told you last week (ooh, hark at her!), that Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Sucker Punch's much desired sequel to PS2 platformer Sly Raccoon, will launch on Darth's toaster this winter.
However those concerned that this may put it into direct competition with Jak III and Ratchet & Clank 3 (which, to be honest, they might as well take my money for right now) would do well to remember that the original Sly Raccoon launched in Europe in mid-January 2003. Jan 17th 2003 in fact, if memory serves. We're not saying this one will mimic its forebear precisely, but Sony's press release also helpfully reminds us that the promised season of release straddles both 2004 and early 2005.
Don't worry though; with the US version due out in September we'll just import that and let you know what it's like. In the meantime, you can read all the details we thieved last week here, and we've also added four high-res official screenshots to our Sly 2 gallery, which is already bristling with a few that we found on The Magic Box. Sly!
