Square Enix working on new MMORPG

Square Enix is working on a new massively multiplayer PC title called Fantasy Earth: The Ring of Dominion it emerged yesterday after the publisher snuck promotional leaflets about the game into copies of Final Fantasy XI expansion Chains of Promathia as they went on sale in Japan.

More details and a short movie, featuring a mixture of typically enjoyable CG and slightly less exciting in-game footage, are available on the game's Japanese website, and we also have 10 screenshots of the game, which you can see here.

But, in the absence of our trusty Japanese translator, we're not quite sure what's going on in The Ring of Dominion (which sounds like a horrible place), other than we're going to find out by playing it over PlayOnline, presumably sometime next year. We'll let you know when we hear more.

Oh, and, just in case you'd forgotten, Square Enix's other MMORPG Final Fantasy XI is released in Europe this week.
