21 titles inc. Resistance, Genji, plus e-Dist game details.
Sony has unveiled the line-up for the American PlayStation 3's "launch window", encompassing the 17th November launch date and the vague period immediately following it.
Announced at SCEA's Gamer's Day event in the US on Thursday, the 21-game list is headlined by first-party titles Resistance: Fall of Man and Genji: Days of the Blade, while major third-party titles include Call of Duty 3, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Ridge Racer 7 and Sonic the Hedgehog. First-party titles will retail for US$ 59.99.
Sony also confirmed leaked details of games in development for release through its e-Distribution service, similar to Xbox Live Arcade. Blast Factor, a shoot-'em-up with online options, will be released at launch, while others in development include Go! Sudoku, Go! Swizzleblock2, Criminal Crackdown (from God of War creator David Jaffe), Cash Carnage Chaos and Lemmings 2. First-party e-Distribution games are expected to go for US$ 15.
The platform holder also revealed that a demo of racing title MotorStorm will be available for download on day one, and that the first 500,000 units sold in the US would include a pack-in Blu-ray movie - Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.
