Jedi Academy meets BF1942

Haven't we done that one? Actually, no - this is a free add-on for the Raven-helmed school of the Force.

Raven Software's Kenn Hoekstra has updated his .plan this week with a special treat for fans of Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy.

"As a special thanks to everyone in the community for making [the game] such a success, the Jedi Academy team is happy to release a new Siege Vehicle Combat map and tutorials to show mod makers how to create their own Siege maps and vehicles," he writes.

Although the map and tools are unsupported by the developer or publisher, we doubt that'll stop anybody. The new map - Destroyer - pits Rebels in X-Wings and Z-95 Headhunters against the ranks of TIE Fighters, TIE Bombers and turbolaser defences on the surface of a Star Destroyer, which is gradually reeling in the faltering Millennium Falcon by way of a tractor beam.

You can find a list of mirrors via Hoekstra's .plan and for the sake of some variation here's a link to the WorthPlaying mirror for both map and tutorials.
