Nintendo's plans for May
Just not for E3. Instead, we have four May-bound US releases: Pokémon Emerald, Donkey Konga 2, Geist and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones.
As is traditional, Nintendo of America has press-released some of its key release dates for Cube and GBA. However, bucking convention somewhat, it's decided to announce the four games launching in the States this May on or around E3, which is either a good or a bad idea depending on how you look at it.
Although it doesn't represent the whole Q2 line-up, the May output on GameCube and Game Boy Advance SP does give firm dates to the previously slippery Geist and the firm's latest breadwinning Pokémon handheld adventure.
Geist, n-Space's first-person adventure in which you possess various hosts to make progress, was originally unveiled at E3 several years ago and has slipped repeatedly since, but now it seems the developer's ghostly Cube exclusive will debut in the States on 23rd May. It was left off Nintendo of Europe's Q2 release list, so we can only assume we'll see it over here closer to the end of the year.
Donkey Konga 2, meanwhile, is set to appear in the US on 9th May, just under a month ahead of its release in Europe on 3rd June.
Pokémon Emerald will lead the charge for Nintendo of America when it materialises to the sound of whopping young'uns on 1st May, but the better news is that Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones looks set to make its mark on 23rd May, which, agonisingly, is about one day after we all fly back from E3.
Good thing we're leaving Pat there for a few days to cover our retreat.
We'll bring you more on all four of these games as they start to come out in the US.
