Microsoft's announced Fuzion Frenzy 2 for Xbox 360.

Like the Xbox 1 game it follows up, it's a mini-game compilation, and it's due out this Christmas in Europe.

Developed by Hudson rather than original scribes Blitz Games, it'll aim to combine interesting mini-games and party-styled tournament modes with online multiplayer.

Players will move between seven different planets tackling mini-games, like "Super Slam Dunk" - a low-gravity mini basketball game.

You'll also use "tournament cards", which can be used to advance the game and choose the next mini-game, among other things not made utterly clear by the press release.

There'll be 40 mini-games in total. Besides Super Slam Dunk, we're also told about Collision Collusion and Turbine Jumper. The names anyway - goodness knows how they work.

This isn't the first time Fuzion Frenzy 2's been bandied about, incidentally. Back in March 2004 a US retailer got a bit excited and claimed a sequel was on the way for the original Xbox with Live support. The original game predated Microsoft's online service.
