Capcom announces Glass Rose
Psychological thriller due in early 2004.
Capcom has announced plans to publish a psychological adventure game called Glass Rose in early 2004 on PlayStation 2.
Although we have very little information on it, we do know that lead character Takasi Kagetani (whose voice and likeness are those of musician/actor Masahiro Matsuoka according to the press release) is a young news reporter who wakes one day to find himself on the floor of a strange house in the 1920s.
Confused and disorientated, Takasi's investigation into what happened leads him to consider an unsolved murder he was working on before he was warped back through time, and also reveals that his passage through time has unlocked latent psychic powers, allowing him to read minds briefly during conversation amongst other things.
It sounds rather interesting, but given that we don't even know which genre the game will fall into (although our money is on a third-person, Clock Tower-esque title), it's a little difficult to get excited just yet. We'll keep an eye out for more on Glass Rose.
