Eidos reveals E3 line-up
Tomb Raider, Hitman, Commandos, Generic Urban Gangbanger #387. And more announcements to come?
UK publisher Eidos has confirmed four key titles going on show at this year's E3, hinting that there could be more announcements to follow.
The titles are Tomb Raider: Legend, Hitman: Blood Money, Commandos Strike Force and 25 to Life. All are in development for PC, PS2 and Xbox.
When asked if that was the full and final line-up, an Eidos representative replied, "That's all the games being announced at the moment" - suggesting that more will be added to the list in the future. New instalments in the Deus Ex, Thief and Freedom Fighters series have previously been rumoured.
Eidos puts Tomb Raider: Legend at the top of the bill, promising that Lara's latest adventure is "grounded in the series' roots" and will offer a challenge for the most hardened of action adventure fans. More details and screens are available via this page.
Next up is Agent 47's new outing, which sees him caught in the middle of a war between two contract agencies and rolling in cash. Click here for more Hitman: Blood Money details and here for screenshots.
25 to Life is Eidos' contribution to the growing mountain of urban gangster warfare games, but it does stand out with the option of online play for up to 16 opponents and the choice of whether you join the crims or the po-po. Screenshots are here, and there's also a trailer.
And finally Commandos Strike Force puts you in the shoes of a green beret, sniper and spy during World War II, and uses a first-person perspective for the first time in the series. Click here for more.
