Nintendo disti unaffected by volcano

VOLCANO WATCH: Nintendo has told Eurogamer that the giant cloud of ash spewed from Iceland over Europe will not halt Wii and DS game distribution.
That's lucky, what with high-scoring Wii-exclusive Monster Hunter Tri due out this Friday.
"The majority of our distribution across Europe is achieved via road and not air," a Nintendo spokesperson revealed.
"Therefore we do not expect any impact on software availability in the short-term, and this includes the upcoming release of WarioWare: Do It Yourself."
WarioWare DIY, incidentally, is superb - Christian Donlan dived in for Eurogamer.
Nintendo did have to cancel a Video Games and Japanese Culture event at the Japanese embassy here due to restricted air travel. Many other worldwide press events have also suffered at the hands of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano.
