This is how Nintendo is advertising Nintendo Land in the UK
"What is Wii U? Talk or fail."
"What is Wii U?" asks a new series of TV adverts for Wii U launch title Nintendo Land. "Talk or fail," reads the cryptic reply.
Each video showcases a multiplayer mini-game from Nintendo Land, with a group of enthusiastic young friends playing along in their living room.
Other answers to "What is Wii U?" include "I can see you, but you can't see me" for the stealthy Luigi's Ghost Mansion mini-game and "I can do things that I couldn't before" for Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest.
It's a little disconcerting that, nine days before the console launches in the UK, Nintendo is still having to explain what the Wii U is.
The ad campaign reflects the ongoing difficulties of attracting potential customers to the Wii U's tablet controller concept - at least compared to the instant allure of holding a Wii Remote in hand and swinging a virtual golf club in Wii Sports.
It follows Nintendo's first Wii U TV advert where the company made sure viewers knew it was a new console.
