Nintendo Switch Lite drops to a terrific new low price
Lighter and lighter still.
Update:Unfortunately, it looks like this offer was for Friday only and has now expired. Sorry, folks!
Original story:The Nintendo Switch Lite is on sale for just £159.99 for a limited time at Game.
All three colours are up for grabs and Game is also throwing in a Switch Lite Screen Protector for the price. That's an extra you'll definitely appreciate as it'll help keep the display free of scratches, smudges and any other damage.
Previously, we've only seen discounts for Nintendo's slimmer console down to £169 during and after Black Friday. A cheeky voucher code or two at eBay has dropped the price by a further £20 in the past, too.
Rich found the compact version of the console offered "handheld gaming that's difficult to resist" in his Nintendo Switch Lite review. You do miss out on a couple of features compared to the original Switch, though, including no dock to connect the console to a TV and detachable Joy-Con controllers. Still, it's definitely a worthwhile purchase if you think more of your Switch game time is going to be spent on the move or you want a device that's a little more robust.
This price drop follows the announcement from earlier in the week that the coral Nintendo Switch Lite is coming to Europe in April. Sadly, that fleshy design is not included in the sale but is available to pre-order from the Nintendo Official UK Store, Amazon and Game.
Speaking of Game, don't forget there are still three days to enter our competition to win an Ori and the Will of the Wisps Collector's Edition on Xbox One. This version of the stunning platforming adventure is exclusively available at the retailer in the UK.
After more Switch offers? There are loads more over at Jelly Deals. We've got our picks for the best Nintendo Switch SD card, as well as the best Nintendo Switch stylus and the best Nintendo Switch controller.
If you do pick up one of these sale Switch Lites, though, you'll probably want a few other extras to go with it. Well, you can currently get the officially licensed 128GB Nintendo Switch SD card for £17.99 at Base or £19.99 at Amazon. That'll give you a healthy boost to your console's storage space.
As for games, the best offers out there right now include Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX for £37.99 and Yoku's Island Express for £13.85. Or you can get yourself ready for next week's big release by finding the best price for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
