Nintendo to build new R&D centre
To research games and hardware.
Nintendo has decided to spend some of its trillions of pounds on a brand new research and development centre.
According to Nikkei (as translated by Kotaku), the company has just purchased a 40,000 -square meter piece of land near Nintendo HQ. The land used to be a golf driving range, and cost Nintendo JPY 12.8 billion. That's a whopping GBP 98.5 million / EUR 109.5 million, by the way.
The centre will research and develop new software and hardware, apparently. There's no word on when building will start though.
