Overwatch: Origins Edition hits PC, PS4 and Xbox One spring 2016
Announcement expected at BlizzCon 2015 tonight.
Overwatch for consoles is now confirmed with the reveal of the Origins Edition, due out on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One spring 2016.
The image, right, was spotted on a Blizzard splash page before being removed.
It's unclear how much the team-based shooter will cost, as Blizzard is yet to announce whether it will be free-to-play, a full price game or somewhere in between.
But we do know, courtesy of a listing on GAME, what's included in the Origins Edition (thanks, Overpwn):
- 21 Heroes
- 5 Skins:
- Blackwatch Reyes (Reaper)
- Strike-Commander Morrison (Soldier: 76)
- Overgrown Bastion
- Security Chief Pharah
- Slipstream Tracer
Overwatch-themed content for several Blizzard Entertainment games:
- Heroes of the Storm - Tracer Hero
- World of Warcraft - Baby Winston Pet
- StarCraft 2 Portraits
- Hearthstone Cardback
- Diablo 3 - Mercy Wings
We expect the Origins Edition to be announced during BlizzCon 2015, which kicks off this evening. While we wait, why not check out John's feature on the ongoing Overwatch closed beta?
