PC Dragon Age II beta patch 1.01 arrives
"Users apply this patch at their own risk."
BioWare has rushed a patch out for Dragon Age II on PC that updates the game to version 1.01.
Fixed are saved games for single-core processors, DAII asking for non-existent drives, release control issues and voice over issues when switching language on Steam.
The only problem with the latter, wrote BioWare on its forum, is that this patch can't be used on Steam yet - it's in beta state and Valve won't allow untested files to be handed out to its customers.
"Users apply this patch at their own risk. In general, we recommend you only download and apply it if you are affected by the specific issues listed in the patch notes," wrote BioWare's Chris Priestly.
You can download the patch direct from BioWare's website.
The patch notes:
- Fixed save game issues on single core machines
- Fixed game asking for non-existent drives
- Fixed release control issues where some players were unable to unlock correctly
- Fixed a Steam-specific issue related to VO not playing after switching languages**
