PC's Xbox Live service and Halo 2 Vista dated for Europe
May 18th - ten days after US.
Following this morning's announcement that "Games for Windows - LIVE" - the PC version of the Xbox multiplayer service - is set to launch in just a few weeks time across the pond, Microsoft has confirmed a date for the rest of us: 18th May.
Like the American service, it's tied to the release of Halo 2 for Windows Vista. Xbox Live users will be able to start using their gamertag to collect achievements with Halo 2 on PC, also accessing friends lists and other features - although some, like the cross-platform multiplayer that will debut with Shadowrun in June, will be limited to Gold subscribers, who pay GBP 39.99 a year for the added functionality.
