Play For Japan tracklisting revealed

Kondo, Uematsu, Yamaoka, Tanaka chip in.

A Who's Who of video game music greats have stepped up and contributed original tracks for Play For Japan: The Album - a charity record to raise funds for those affected by the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit the country in March.

The tracklisting, released today, includes new music by Nintendo legends Hirokazu 'Hip' Tanaka and Koji Kondo, Silent Hill veteran Akira Yamaoka and famed Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu.

Here's the line-up in full, as revealed on PlayForJapan.org:

Long-time Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano is also providing artwork, which you can check out below.

No pricing details have yet been announced but it's due for release on iTunes some time next month, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to the Japanese Red Cross.
