Playable demo of War for the Overworld released

Dungeon Keeper-style game halfway to Kickstarter funding goal.

A playable demo of War for the Overworld, the Dungeon Keeper-style game currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, has been released.

The demo allows players to excavate a small dungeon and showcases the base building blocks used to design one. You can dig and fortify walls and place basic rooms.

As an Underlord, you can summon and possess Blood Imps.

The Kickstarter for War for the Overworld, made by a team of around 15 professionals, modders and enthusiasts, asks for £150,000. With 15 days to go £76,353 has been raised.

The team behind War for the Overworld emerged around five months ago from a Dungeon Keeper fansite called Keeper Klan. It teamed up with a group from the US called Rise, picked up a license to use the Unity game engine and set to work.

The demo is available to play in a browser, or you can download it for Windows, Mac, and Linux from here.
