PlayStation Network offline this evening

12 hour maintenance begins 2pm today.

PlayStation Network will be offline all of this evening, Sony has announced.

PSN goes dark from 2pm today until 2am on Tuesday, 17th April.

During this scheduled maintenance you won't be able to access the PlayStation Store on the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Portable, PSN Account Management or PSN Account Registration. Neither will you be able to sign in to PSN from eu.playstation.com.

Sony said you may be able to play online during the online maintenance if you sign into PSN before 2pm today - but no guarantees.

If you do manage to play, you'll still be able to score trophies, which will be updated on your profile when PSN is back up tomorrow.
