How to get Azumarill in the latest Pokémon Go Collection Challenge
Where to find the elusive Spring into Spring Pokémon.
Azumarill is one of the more elusive creatures to track down in the latest Pokémon Go Collection Challenge.
Spring into Spring has you track down various Spring-themed creatures - from rabbits Buneary and Bunnelby to egg-like Pokémon Exeggcute and Chansey.
Azumarill, meanwhile, is the odd one out in that it's an evolution, and must be caught as such - making it tougher than most others to find.
Thankfully there are two sources where Azumarill can show up - so make tracking them down a priority before the event ends on Thursday, April 8th.
How to get Azumarill in the latest Pokémon Go Collection Challenge
Azumarill is the evolution of Marill, and unlike fellow evolution Diggersby, cannot be added to your Collection by evolving alone - it must be caught for it to count.
Azumarill does not spawn in the wild, even with the assistance of an Incense - so don't worry about looking for it there. Instead, you must focus your attention on the following two sources during the Spring into Spring event:
- Three star raids (9847 CP)
- Event-specific research task (Catch 15 Exeggcute)
Finding these are about as luck-based as the other, and it really depends on what's near you.
Keep an eye on all the gyms within your area, as completing a Azumarill raid is arguably the faster or the two - especially if you can use a Remote Raid Pass. Azumarill is a relatively low CP of 9847, and can be easily soloed with strong grass-type counters.
As for the Catch 15 Exeggcute research task, that's a case of spinning as many PokéStops as possible until it appears. Remember that research refreshes daily, so keep trying each day until the research picks up. From there, Exeggcute is a very common wild spawn during the event - use an Incense if you want to get through this step even faster - and Azumarill will be your reward.
The Max Out Season is here. The new global event, Wild Area, is nearly here and In the Wild is our lead-up event, which includes the global release of Toxel. You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, however, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don't forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon, fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases.
Remember - the Collection Challenge must be completed before its associated event ends.
Good luck adding the Spring into Spring Collection Challenge to your Elite Collector medal!
