How to prepare for a Bonus Hour in Pokémon Go

If you want to take full advantage of a Bonus Hour in Pokémon Go, then you need to ensure you're properly prepared.

The first thing you'll want to do is make sure you have enough items before the Bonus Hour begins.

If the activity is based around battling in any form - be it against Team Go Rocket or Raid bosses - you'll want to collect a number of healing items, such as Potions and Revives, by spinning PokéStops. If the hour involves catching Pokémon, then you'll need to gather PokéBalls and berries.

It may take you a while to collect all of the items you need, but you can easily spend out your PokéStop spinning across a number of days to prevent you from rushing before the Bonus Hour begins.

Secondly, if the Bonus Hour involves any form of battling, you'll want to plan out your Pokémon teams.

Start by researching which Pokémon are currently appearing in raids, Mega Raids and the current Team Go Rocket lineups, including the leaders and Giovanni. With this information, you can search through your Pokémon Storage, figuring out which ones will counter your opponents attacks and take advantage of their weaknesses.

You can use the Pokémon Storage tagging system to keep track of these Pokémon, so that, when the time comes, you can easily put a team together.

Finally, you'll want to ensure you meet any special requirements the Bonus Hour might have. The Mega Bonus Hour: Candy, for example, requires you to have an active Mega-Evolved Pokémon and, without it, you won't be able to enjoy the Bonus.

Hope you enjoy the latest Bonus Hour!
