How to get a Falinks in the latest Pokémon Go event

How to find Falinks - the formation Pokémon.

Falinks is one of the Gen 8 Pokémon introduced during the Ultra Unlock 2021: Sword and Shield event during August 2021 in Pokémon Go.

Falinks is quite a hard Pokémon to track down, but, thankfully, it is a single stage evolution. This means you don't have to collect additional Candy for its evolution and, once its entry is complete in your Pokédex, you never have to take another one.

It's important to note that, due to a bug, Falinks will not be appearing in three-star raids during this event.

How to get Falinks in the latest Pokémon Go event

Falinks, the formation Pokémon, is one of the Gen 8 Pokémon, which debuted in Pokémon Go during the Ultra Unlock 2021: Sword and Shield event in August 2021.

Falinks can be found through a selection of methods throughout this event:

Originally Falinks was also meant to appear in three-star raids, but, on August 20th, 2021, Niantic announced that it would be removed due to a bug. In its place, you'll be able to fight Machamp during the first half of the event and Gengar in the second.

Since developer Niantic says you will only find Falinks in the wild 'if you're lucky,' we recommend catching Falinks by completing its dedicated field research task. The issue, however, is in tracking down the field research task.

Since you never know which PokéStop gives which field research task before you spun it, you may find yourself going on quite the hunt. For this reason, it's a good idea to see if there are only Pokémon Go groups in your local area by searching on Facebook, reddit or Discord, to see if anyone has found the correct PokéStop.

It's also important to remember that the research tasks each PokéStop gives you changes daily, so tracking down this task may take you a number of days.

Thankfully, once you have the field research task, you can complete it at your leisure.

The Max Out Season is here. The new global event, Wild Area, is nearly here and In the Wild is our lead-up event, which includes the global release of Toxel. You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, however, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don't forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon, fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases.

Good luck adding Falinks to your Pokédex!
