Everything we know about Regigigas
Regigigas is the legendary colossal Pokémon who was once worshipped as a god by the people of the Sinnoh region. It would create the legendary titans of Hoenn - Regice, Registeel and Regirock.
Eventually the people of Sinnoh became afraid of the power Regigigas wielded and sealed it within the basement of Snowpoint Temple.
This origin story is very similar to the tale of the Golem of Prague. Golems are creatures from Hebrew mythology and its believed that the citizens of Prague became so afraid of the golem that they locked it in an attic. Regigigas certainly does resemble a golem.
The creation of Regigigas could have also taken inspiration from the titans of Greek mythology. These beings were imprisoned in the underworld when they became too dangerous.
