Completing this timed research quest will offer you a couple of chances to catch a Galarian Ponyta, which is perfect for those trainers who haven't been able to add it to their Pokédex yet.

'Limited Research' quest steps in Pokémon Go
Limited Research is a timed research quest in Pokémon Go which is available during the first week of June.
This quest consists of two sets of three challenges, so you can easily complete it during the time limit and you might even encounter a shiny Galarian Ponyta.

'Limited Research' Step 1 of 2
- Transfer 5 Pokémon - 10 PokéBalls
- Catch 5 Pokémon - 1000 XP
- Make 5 Nice Throws - 1000 Stardust
Rewards: 1000 XP, 1000 Stardust and a Galarian Ponyta encounter
'Limited Research' Step 2 of 2
- Claim Reward - 15 PokéBalls
- Claim Reward - 1000 XP
- Claim Reward - 1500 Stardust
Rewards: 1500 XP, one Incense and a Galarian Ponyta encounter
The Max Out Season is here and includes a new global event, Wild Area, and the current 2024 Halloween event brings us Morpeko and the Halloween cup. You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, however, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don't forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon, fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases.
Shiny Galarian Ponyta Limited Research dates and times in Pokémon Go
The Shiny Galarian Ponyta Limited Research quest in Pokémon Go will be available from Tuesday, 1st June to Tuesday, 8th June - both starting and finishing at 10am.
You'll also have a higher chance of hatching a Galarian Ponyta from any 7km egg collected during this week.
