Wyndon and the Champion Cup Semifinals are your next stops, and follow on from Route 10 in your quest through Pokémon Sword and Shield's main story.

Pokémon Sword and Shield: Wyndon - available Pokémon, items and trainers
Wyndon is Galar's largest city, and as such there's a pretty decent amount of stuff to do here.
As you enter the city for the first time, Hop will tell you to head to Wyndon Stadium, as that's where the Champion Cup Semifinals, your next challenge, will take place. But there's no rush! We recommend you explore the city first, so here's what you can do.
First, like in any major city, there's a Battle Café, a Boutique, and a Salon where you can kill some time and change up your in-game appearance.
On the road towards the stadium, to the north-east, there's a blue house with an Artist inside, who'll tade you a Duraludon for your Frosmoth, if you have one (it evolves from Snom, which you can find back on Route 10).
In another of those houses on that road you can battle a Leage Staffer who has a Rotom. He'll give you the Rotom Catalog, an item that allows you to change a Rotom's form to make the most of its various typings! You can catch them in Thunderstorm weather in the Lake of Outrage part of the Wild Area.
An older man in the nearby park, by the battling kids, will teach your starter an "Ultimate Move", which is one only them can learn. Thay's Frenzy Plant for Rillaboom, Hydro Cannon to Inteleon and Blast Burn to Cinderace. It's worth noting that this move isn't always great for these Pokémon - Rillaboom for instance has much higher Attack than Special Attack, so the Special Attack-based Frenzy Plant won't do anywhere near as much as other physical Attack moves you can teach it.
That's more or less everything for now - you can explore the hotel but there's nothing to actually do there, but there are a few good items to find. The path along the riverbank, just before you cross either bridge, has one or two hidden items on it, and the park has a few too. There's also a good selection of TMs to buy from the Pokémon Center nearest to the stadium, too.
When you're done exploring - and training your team - head to the Stadium for the next step in the story. This won't be the last you see of Wyndon, though...

Pokémon Sword and Shield: Champion Cup Semifinals
Alright, it's finally time for some action in the Champion Cup! Make sure your team is tweaked and tuned for battle, with held items, TMs, TRs and Dynamax Levels pumped up and ready to go.
Head inside as always, and then it's time to crack on with the Semifinals. The format is a bit weird, mind. This is nothing like the standard Elite Four you'll have faced in Pokémon games gone by (for starters, all the trainers you'll face are ones you've already battled before...) so here's a quick runthrough of stuff to know:
- Your team is healed between battles.
- You can leave the locker room between battles too - even to go and train up your team some more.
- You have to beat two trainers - with a break in between - to get through the Semifinals to the Finals.
- In the Finals, you have to beat three more.
- Then you'll reach the grand final, or Championship Match, against Leon, where you'll need to beat him to become Champion yourself.

Your battles here will be against Marnie first, followed by your old pal Hop. Marnie will Gigantamax her Grimmsnarl, so save your Dynamaxing for then. Her team is largely Dark-based, so Fighting and Fairy will work well most of the time, but watch out for that Toxicroak, which is 4x weak to Psychic but could make quick work of your Fairy-types!
As for Hop, he's changed his team up once again. Fighting will serve you well against Dubwool and Snorlax, but then it's all about variety. He'll Dynamax his starter Pokémon, as always, so bear that in mind!
After you win, you'll head over to the hotel for a meal with Leon - but he's weirdly late, even for him. Piers turns up and it seems like there's some trouble - you'll head outside and Oleana's there waiting for you. Leon's off at Rose Tower, so that's where you need to head, once you've figured out how...
