Pre-order Splatoon at GAME, get exclusive Inkling beanie
Splatoon-focused Nintendo Direct next week.
Pre-order any edition of Wii U-exclusive Splatoon at GAME and you will get an exclusive free Inkling beanie.
The squid-shaped hat will come free with either the game's standard version or special edition Amiibo bundle, both of which will launch here in the UK on 29th May.
Separately, Nintendo has announced a Splatoon-focused Nintendo Direct broadcast will take place next Thursday, 7th May at 3pm UK time.
The developer will reveal more detail on its paintball-like third-person shooter then, perhaps including more information on its single-player modes.
Splatoon features paintgun shooting as a human character but also fast movement as a squid. Your characters, named Inklings, can freely swap between the two. The objective of each match is to cover as much of the arena in your team's colour paint.
"As is so often the case within Nintendo, Splatoon is an example of how countless little details are polished to perfection," Martin Robinson wrote in Eurogamer's Splatoon preview. "It's about how one simple whole is the result of countless years of experience and hours of graft and thought that whir away just beneath the surface."
