Proposed Monument Valley Lego set looks nifty
Already has over 2500 signatures on Lego Ideas.
Someone has proposed a rather swank Lego set based on Monument Valley.
Like the game it's based on, the potential playset would include moveable pieces representing the popular mobile game's malleable scenery.
"This set includes four minimalist landscape themes that are modular and interactive; featuring rotating walkways, platforms, pillars, staircases, bridges and water wheels; along with three main characters, Ida, Totem and Crow," designer Isometry stated on the Danish blockmaker's crowd-voted platform Lego Ideas (formerly known as Cuusoo).
"It is an original Lego design concept with visually attractive elements that are appealing and intriguing to a wide audience," Isometry added.
In order for the Monument Valley Lego set to go into review - in which the folks at Lego decide whether to greenlight production of the set - it needs at least 10k signatures. So far the Monument Valley set has 2532. That's not bad given that it's only been on Lego Ideas for less than a month and it has another 522 days to meet its goal. I reckon it won't need all of those.
This isn't the first time a video game-based Lego set has picked up steam with Lego as the proposed Minecraft sets hit retail a couple of years back. A Portal playset went into review as well, but never made its way into production as Lego ended up turning it down.
