- Memory: 1 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX or better, ATI Radeon 8500 or better, Intel i915 chipset or better 1024x600 resolution
- DirectX: Version 9.0

- Hard Drive: 1 GB available space
- Sound Card: Stereo Soundcard
Recommended:
- OS: Windows 7 or later
- Processor: 2 GHz Intel Quad Core Processor or better
- Memory: 2 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 7 Series or better, ATI Radeon X1800 series or better 1920x1080 resolution

For the re-launch on Steam id has made a number of controversial changes to the established Quake Live gameplay - some of which have upset veteran players.
Last month the developer addressed that concern, saying the changes were an attempt to bring Quake to a wider audience "who could experience, appreciate, and fall in love with all that it has to offer"
