Rambo publisher Reef Entertainment acquires The Terminator game license
Judgment day.
Reef Entertainment, the publisher behind the upcoming Rambo game, has acquired the exclusive console video game rights to The Terminator and its sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
In fact, it also has the PC rights to T2, though not to the first movie.
The publisher will make a new game based off these rights entitled Terminators: The Video Game.
"Here at Reef we are huge fans of 1984 & 1991 Sci-Fi action master-pieces," said a Reef spokesperson. "It's an incredible opportunity and an equally huge responsibility to create a game that does great justice to the motion-pictures. We are studying all aspects and influences of the Terminator universe defined in Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. We have started on our journey and are drawing on all the diverse materials available to produce a high quality, authentic and exciting Terminator video game."
We're not sure exactly what kind of game Terminators will be, or who will be developing it, but we're looking into such matters. It can't be any worse than the 1/10 Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines game, right? Right?!
