Where to find the Fire Hose location to put out the fire with the Fire Hydrant

After the cutscene showing the Substation, you'll be told you need to put out the fire in the alleyway.

Turning back, the fence with the zombies rattling against it will collapse. Use your new dodge ability to evade the zombies and head where they came from, going towards a Donut Shop.

At the bottom of the steps, there is a thin staircase you can take right, leading to a walkway going left and right. Right takes you to a roof, two zombies and a ladder that drops down next to the fire-filled alley - this is an optional shortcut you can use later if you fancy.

Backtrack and head left, heading through a green door to a room with a safe. Read the Drugstore Owner's Journal File to learn about the Aqua Cure safe code clue. It's not an easy puzzle - so if you want the solution, visit our Resident Evil 3 safe code page.

Get the Gunpowder from the drawer, kill or avoid the zombie in the other end of the room, and head through the door. There is Handgun Ammo behind it on the boxes. Continue down the short corridor through a door to arrive back onto the street.

At the end is a pharmacy. This is an optional point of interest; the zombie on the ground as you enter will attack you, so knife it to safely progress, and inside you can get a Green Herb from the right counter, and Gunpowder on the shelf on the right and at the back.

Further down the street is the Kite Bros Railway. Head inside.

Go round the corridor, watching out for the zombie which emerges. At the end is the Fire Hose, which you'll need for the fire alleyway previously.

What to do after finding the Fire Hose location

Before that, head through the door next to it. Inside is the Subway Employee's Memo File on the desk, explaining about the Shotgun on the wall, which requires you to cut the chain with Bolt Cutters - another thing we'll have to remember to come back to. Additionally, you can get Gunpowder and a Grenade from the lockers, while one is locked.

Before you leave the building, head into the door in the corridor you passed also. Here you can get Kite Bros. Railway Manual File on the office chair, and see a train puzzle on the opposite wall, as well as a locked box on the side. Surprise surprise - these are all things you have to deal with at another time, so remember where they are and come back later

Head back to the street and head down towards the Donut shop and enter via the front door. No dangers in here for now - so grab the consumables from the sides, and head into the back kitchen to find a Safe Room with a typewriter.

Our full Resident Evil 3 walkthrough explains every aspect's of Jill's, including the Shotgun location, Bolt cutters and Lockpick locations, how to reset the Circuit Breakers to restore power in the Substation, find the Drugstore safe code solution and Aqua Cure clue, Police Station Safe, Locker codes, Hospital safe code and courtyard box for the Magnum explained.

There's also a Fancy Box here. Inspect it in your inventory to open it and find a Red Jewel. This is for an optional puzzle, so place it into the chest to use later.

Before you leave the Donut Shop - there's a Bobble Head on the shelf behind the counter you can shoot.

When leaving, go out of the right door to emerge back out on the street you've visited before. Head up the steps, take a left and through to the fire-filled alley and use the Fire Hose on the Fire Hydrant to clear the way forward.

Next - it's time to get the Bolt cutters and Lockpick we need to open all those locked doors, lockers and cases we've been seeing.
