Resident Evil 4 for Wii
Shots and dates for it and Umbrella Chronicles.
Resident Evil 4 is on its way to Nintendo Wii, Capcom Eurosoft said over the Easter break, with a release planned for the summer, while previously announced Wii title Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is now down for autumn.
Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition will feature all the content from the GameCube original and the extra elements introduced in the PlayStation 2 port (a new scenario featuring Ada Wong and a Parasite Removal Laser weapon), but most interestingly you will be able to use the Wiimote and Nunchuk to "aim, fire, slash" and evade your enemies. Having already been announced - albeit quietly - last year, The Umbrella Chronicles is a game we already know a bit about, but Capcom has now confirmed that it will draw upon locations from Resident Evil Zero, 1, 2 and 3, as well as new areas, and that it will flesh out the survival-horror series' back-story. Control-wise, we're told it "combines first-person, light-gun-style combat with interactive pathways, multiple weapons and new enemies". Anybody caught mentioning the words "Gun Survivor" will be shot. Check out our Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles screenshot gallery for a preview.
