Resident Evil: Mercenaries for iOS
Multiplayer zombie shooter goes mobile.
Not content at just bringing its multiplayer zombie throwdown do 3DS, Capcom has revealed that Resident Evil: The Mercenaries will also put in an appearance on the iPhone.
According to TouchArcade, Resident Evil: Mercenaries Vs. will feature local and online multiplayer via Game Center. Four players will be able to go at it at the same time either in teams or in a free-for-all.
You'll be fighting against the clock to see who can gun down the most zombies and human opponents. If you're struggling you can call in an AI assistant to bail you out, such as Resident Evil 4's sackhead.
You can look forward to the same virtual thumbstick control scheme from the shoddy 2009 iOS port of Resident Evil 4.
The game will launch with just one map and two playable characters – Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine – but Capcom hopes to add additional content further down the line.
A February release is expected at an as of yet undisclosed price point.
