Atari has confirmed that the new Riddick: Dark Athena campaign will indeed be 11 hours long, after suggesting a similar figure to uslast December.

That will be on top of the remade Escape from Butcher Bay story, which lasts nine hours. Atari will hope this further justifies that Dark Athena be considered a full game rather than 'revamp with new bits'.

Atari also fleshed out the six multiplayer modes: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Butcher Bay Riot, Pitch Black and Arena.

In reverse order, Arena puts players, or teams of two, head-to-head. All weapons are available and up to eight people can face-off at once. Winner stays on.

Pitch Black and Butcher Bay Riot are more unique, and we've heard a bit about them before.

Pitch Black casts five people as mercenaries who have to hunt and kill the person playing Riddick. Manage to do so and they become Riddick next round.

Each level will be played in the dark, meaning torches for the mercenaries and an advantage for Riddick, who can see in the dark. Mercenaries get to pick either a shotgun, SMG or Assault Rifle at the start, but the strong the weapon, the weaker the torch.

Butcher Bay Riot, meanwhile, splits 12 people into three teams: Guards, Prisoners, Mercenaries. They're identical in ability, and need to grab and deliver the map's powercell to an opposing base to win. Weapons are bought before the round starts, and cash can be earned by killing people or winning games.

Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag also support up to 12 players.
