The Road Rash-inspired Kickstarter project Road Redemption will add Oculus Rift support if it can achieve $198K before its Kickstarter ends on 12th May.

Additionally, it will port the game to Xbox 360 if it can attain $178K in time. "While we were initially hesitant to announce an Xbox 360 port because of Durango uncertainty, the 77 million Xbox 360s in circulation make this an easy choice," said developer Dark Seas Games in a Kickstarter update.

Unfortunately, the Kickstarter is only at $102,801 with eight days to go and a minimum goal of $160K. If it hits this, Road Redemption will be secured for PC, Mac and Linux next July with a Wii U version to follow after a few months.

It seems like a long way to go, but perhaps the additional platforms and this sweet footage of the game being played with Oculus Rift will inspire more people to fund it.
