RollerCoaster Tycoon World in-game screenshots revealed
How does the PC revival look?
Atari has released its first in-game screenshots from RollerCoaster Tycoon World, the upcoming title set to properly revive the long-dormant sim franchise.
The new images are our first proper look at the game and what it'll offer. Some of the themed areas available include a piratical area, a Wild West area, a sci-fi area and 1950s Americana.
Up to four players will be able to co-operatively build in a park at the same time, although each person will be limited to their own section, PC Gamer reported.
Roller coasters are now built using a spline system where you can alter tracks on the fly, rather than by going into a menu and selecting specific track parts. All attractions will be ridable in either first or third-person.
You'll also be able to upload your roller coaster blueprints to other players and download track designs made by other people for use in your park.
Meanwhile, a new 'Park Pulse' mechanic will allow you to quickly gauge how your park is doing and what your customers think - which sounds similar to the recent Zoo Tycoon titles.
Due for PC in "early 2015", Atari has said that the game will be "completely different" from last year's disappointing RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile.
Unlike that game, RollerCoaster Tycoon will not offer any in-game micro-transactions.
