Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert's match-3 puzzler/RPG hybrid, Scurvy Scallywags in The Voyage to Discover the Ultimate Sea Shanty, is out now on the iOS App Store.
Developed by Gilbert and his DeathSpank co-creator Clayton Kauzlaric, Scurvy Scallywags is a spacial puzzler in which you shuffle your pirates around a grid by matching various booty. The idea is to maneuver your pirates to the right items so they'll be ready for attack when they encounter enemies. There will also be RPG elements like weapons and special abilities to choose from, as well as ship customisation.
By traveling the seas and completing challenges, you'll help your crew comprise the titular epic sea shanty. You'll also get to dress them up in silly outfits, which is always fun.
Scurvy Scallywags is currently on sale for £0.69 / $0.99 and it will eventually go up to £1.49 / $1.99.
