Skyrim Dragonborn DLC confirmed, out 4th December

Confront the first Dragonborn, ride dragons.

Skyrim Dragonborn has been confirmed. This next batch of DLC will be released for Xbox 360 on 4th December for 1600 Microsoft Points. No PC or PS3 release dates were mentioned.

A video revealed the setting as the north-easterly independent island of Solthseim, and that there will be ridable dragons. In the video, a hero character mounted and then flew a dragon, and it looked like the beast was controllable.

The DLC title Dragonborn refers to the first of your kind - a sinister and powerful entity known as the Dragonbeast who wants to return to the land he once ruled, Solstheim, and consume all dragons again.

"He was once one of them, the Dragon priest," revealed a new character in the video. "He ruled here in their name, ruled over Solstheim. But he did not serve the dragons, he devoured them. And like them he seeks to return.

"You didn't think that you were the only one. He was the first. Dragonborn."

The Dragon priest looked menacing in what might be bone armour - one of the new types of armour spied in source code in October.

All of the other bits and pieces outed by the source code look to be here as well, like spears, which an enemy is seen using on the back of what looks like a giant boar.

Without further ado, here's that rousing new trailer.
